Policies > Sustainability and ethical practices policy
TCA is committed to conducting business in an ethical, legal, and socially responsible manner. We expect our suppliers to adhere to the same standards, specifically in areas of labor, health and safety, environmental practices, and governance.
This policy outlines the criteria and procedures our company uses to assess the social and environmental practices and performance of our suppliers.
Our aim is to partner with suppliers who share our commitment to sustainability, ethical practices, and compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
1. Compliance with local and international regulations
Suppliers should adhere to all applicable local and international laws and regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, compliance with labor laws, environmental regulations, health and safety standards, and any relevant trade regulations.
2. Ethical conduct and governance
Suppliers must uphold high standards of integrity and transparency in all their operations. This includes implementing anti-corruption and anti-bribery policies, ensuring fair trading practices, and maintaining transparent governance structures that promote ethical business conduct.
We ask suppliers to provide evidence of their governance practices, including any certifications or audits that demonstrate their commitment to ethical operations.
3. Environmental sustainability
Suppliers are expected to actively contribute to environmental sustainability through practices such as waste management and reduction, energy efficiency, carbon footprint reduction, and the use of renewable energy sources.
Suppliers should demonstrate a proactive approach to minimizing their environmental impact, including measurable goals and achievements in sustainability.
4. Social responsibility
Suppliers must ensure fair labor practices and respect for human rights within their operations, which includes upholding worker safety, prohibiting child and forced labor, and ensuring fair wages and working conditions.
Additionally, engagement with and contributions to the wellbeing of local communities through philanthropy, volunteer initiatives, or sustainable development projects is preferred.
5. Data production and privacy
Suppliers must ensure the integrity and privacy of data produced, managed, or stored as part of their operations, particularly when handling personal or sensitive information.
This includes compliance with GDPR (for UK and European suppliers) or equivalent data protection regulations applicable in their jurisdictions.
Suppliers are expected to have robust data protection policies and procedures in place, including but not limited to data processing agreements, regular employee training on data protection, and a clear, actionable plan for responding to data breaches.
6. Supply chain transparency
Transparency in the supply chain is essential, with suppliers required to provide clear information on the sourcing of materials, traceability of products and components, and any subcontracting arrangements.
This criterion is important to ensure that the entire supply chain upholds the standards expected by our company.
7. Financial stability and risk management
Suppliers must demonstrate financial stability and effective risk management practices. This ensures their long-term viability and reliability as a partner. Suppliers should provide recent financial statements and evidence of risk management strategies that safeguard against operational and financial uncertainties.
